Elyria and Swansea Neighborhood Plan Meetings (Combined CDOT and City and County of Denver)
- September 18, 2013 Elyria and Swansea Neighborhood Plan Meeting
CDOT and the City and County of Denver joined together to engage the community and gather ideas on how to improve the communities surrounding the I-70 East project. This meeting is the first of a series of meetings focused on the community space on the highway cover, the connection to Swansea Elementary, the frontage roads and the Steele/Vasquez interchange (see Meeting Notices).
Right-of-Way (ROW) Acquisition and Relocation Meetings
The I-70 East EIS project team conducted a right of way (ROW) informational meeting to inform the public about the purchase and relocation process.
Telephone Town Hall Meeting
Over the past ten years, CDOT and FHWA have made huge efforts to provide meaningful public involvement opportunities on this project. In an effort to develop new ways to reach out to communities and citizens concerned about the project, the team used a new method of telephone technology to reach out to the larger community.
The I-70 East EIS project team called more than 38,000 residents in the project corridor and invited them to join an hour-long telephone town hall (in both Spanish and English):
