Collaborative Process Begins for I-70 East
CDOT and FHWA are entering the next phase of the I-70 East EIS through a collaborative dialogue and decision-making process that will identify a preferred alternative. Comments from the public, agencies, and other stakeholders received during the project’s extensive outreach process (including comments received on the Draft EIS) will serve as the foundation of the collaborative process.
The Keystone Center has been retained as a neutral facilitator to design and implement the process.
The I-70 East Preferred Alternative Collaboration Team (I-70 PACT) will

include individuals representing various interested entities and communities within Adams County, Aurora, Commerce City and Denver. The collaborative decision-making is compliant with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA); and the preferred alternative identified by the I-70 PACT will be documented in the Final EIS.
The decision will be made in an open and transparent process. All I-70 PACT meetings will be open to the public for observation with brief opportunities for public comment. View upcoming meeting dates.
